Greetings from Universal High School!

 We take immense pleasure in welcoming all our students and parents to an exciting and fruitful academic year offering qualitative learning experiences through the integration of skills, values, and attitude in key learning areas. We hope to instill a love for learning that will last throughout your child’s life.

Kindly note the following guidelines: 

Commencement of Academic Year: Tuesday, 02 April 2019. (I-VII)

School Timings:

Regularity is essential for an effective learning program. Students are required to report five minutes before the scheduled school timings.

Monday to Saturday: 08:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

  • New session starts from 2nd April 2019, Tuesday.
  • An Orientation session for parents is organized as per the schedule is given below:

Correspondence:

All circulars and important notifications will be sent by email and will be uploaded on the school website. Parents may communicate through the pages (Message from Parent) provided in the Handbook. 

Daily Class Update

Perfect harmony between home and school boosts the academic performance of the students. You would be receiving a daily update about the child’s classroom learning in school. This update will also include special remarks (if any) by the class teacher along with the Home Assignments for different subjects. Details of the notes upload will also be shared through DCU.

Special Days / Events:

Kindly refer to the Special Days / Events 2019 – 20 mentioned in the Handbook for your ready reference. All the students are encouraged to participate in these activities.

Assessment Schedule:

The Annual Assessment schedule is detailed in the Handbook for facilitating prior preparation and home study plan. The portion for the Assessment will be emailed a month prior to the scheduled Assessment.

Audio Visual Teaching – Learning:

All classrooms are equipped with Audio Visual learning systems for a stimulating and interactive learning experience of our students.

Library:

To inculcate regular reading habit, Library books will be issued during the Library Period scheduled in the Time Table. Kindly refer to the Library guidelines mentioned in the E-Handbook.

Shiamak Dance Education: 

Students of Class I to VIII will have weekly dance sessions conducted by the Shiamak Davar’s Dance Academy.

Counseling and Research Department:

We have counseling facilities for our students and parents. Take benefit of these services if you face any problem in parenting or with your child’s studies. You can meet a school counsellor by taking prior appointment.

Visiting Days:

Visiting Days (Parent Teacher Meeting Days) are important for inquiring about the progress of your child. The Visiting Day Schedule is given in the Handbook for your ready reference. 

Snack & Lunch:

Students will be served nutritious vegetarian snack. 

Parents are requested to send proper lunch with students. Please do not give any liquid food item, soft drink or junk food. 

Canteen facilities are available and Coupons will be issued from the school office. 

School Handbook:

The school e-Handbook will be uploaded on the school website. Please read it carefully and abide by all the rules and regulations of the school.

 Handbook issued by the school should be brought to school daily. Please fill the required pages of the Handbook.

Dress Code

Students are expected to attend school in complete school uniform. Details of the same are given in the school e-Handbook.

Transport service

Students enrolled for transport service for the first time will receive only the drop service on the first day of school after the parent’s interaction with the Transport vendor.

Supportive Parents:

 Here are some ways you can be involved in your child’s education.

  • The day starts well if your child has had adequate sleep and a good breakfast.
  • Make reading a daily habit and limit screen time.
  • Monitor your child’s progress. Please do not hesitate to contact the teachers to check with your child’s performance in class. Don’t wait till the Visiting Days. 
  • Attend School functions to encourage and motivate your child.
